This hands-on workshop invites participants to explore botanical cyanotype printing as a slow, relational practice rooted in Art That Breathes. Working with sunlight, water, and plant materials, we will create images that emerge through collaboration with living allies, chance, and time.

Rather than treating cyanotype as a technical process alone, this class emphasizes presence, ethical plant engagement, and sensory attention. Participants will learn to work with local or familiar plants through observation, gentle harvesting, and intuitive placement, allowing the plant’s form, chemistry, and relationship to light to shape the final image. The workshop centers process over product, honoring impermanence, unpredictability, and the agency of the more-than-human world. Botanical cyanotypes become records of encounter—traces of breath, weather, season, and relationship—rather than fixed representations.

Participants will leave with completed cyanotype prints, practical knowledge of the process, and inspiration for integrating botanical image-making into herbal practice, teaching, journaling, or personal ritual.

This is a hands-on class! Space is limited, so pre-register now.
