On International Women’s Day, Join Deb Soule in a webinar designed to inspire new and seasoned gardeners (and non-gardeners) to see soil beyond its physical structure.

With an ecological and spiritual lens, tending garden soil is one of the most important skill sets gardeners and farmers continuously develop, year after year.

“Soil is alive. It breathes. It pulses. It is the precious skin covering the body of Earth, offering protection and allowing plants and trees to take root and grow.”

~ Deb Soule

Millions of microbes are needed for healthy soil. Healthy soil contributes to the vitality and nutrients of our food and medicine plants, the quality of the seeds we rely on each year to plant, and the overall well-being of various ecosystems.

Indigenous cultures across time and space view soil and seed as sacred. It is time for all peoples to respect soil, seeds, and diversity.

What does it mean to meet, value, and respect both the physical and spiritual nature of soil?

Deb Soule draws from her years of experience in biodynamics, herbalism, and herb gardening to introduce the concept of soil as a living entity.

In this webinar, you will learn:

  • How biodynamics can be an ecological and spiritual approach to gardening and farming that relates the Earth’s ecology to the larger Cosmos
  • How to honor the sacredness of soil and seeds
  • Guidelines for growing medicinal herbs from seed
  • Various culture’s perspectives recognizing Earth as Mother
  • Deb’s favorite resources for gardening books and garden tools to inspire further study and exploration

About Deb Soule

Deb Soule is an herbalist, gardener, teacher, and author of The Woman’s Handbook of Healing Herbs, How to Move Like a Gardener, and The Healing Garden. Deb has a special connection to the hummingbirds and has traveled to Ecuador with Rocío to study them.

The purpose of this webinar is to build awareness for Deb Soule’s upcoming 6-week program, The Whole Garden: From Healthy Soil to Healing Plants.
