Katherine Yvinskas

Katherine Yvinskas has been part of the Gallery 23 cooperative since 2006 and currently serves as Gallery Director. Her work encompasses a personal vision of nature as seen through her drawings, watercolors, hand-colored prints and mixed media collages. “The fun begins when you choose to interpret the subject or idea in your own way, using your creative skills and resulting in a piece like no other. It is your gift to share with the world.”

She earned her MFA at Northern Illinois University and has been in numerous group and individual exhibitions. Her work has graced the covers of several publications and is included in the Anne Steele Marsh Print Collection of the Hunterdon Museum of Art and in many private collections throughout the United States and Europe.

An avid gardener and herbalist, Katherine’s garden was included in a private garden tour for the Friends of the Frelinghuysen Arboretum, Morristown, New Jersey. Her garden was “the Artist’s Garden” where plants grow in an unstructured chemical-free format, encouraging bees, butterflies and birds, a mosaic of colors and textures.
